People create content to gain something else. Take away the money gained, the followers who followed and the fame risen, would they still create?

I was told the HSC was important. Was it true? No. It was a constructed reality that I was told. I will always regret finishing high school for many reasons but all it did was deteriorate my mental health.
But was the HSC created for adolescents to gain an education or is it for teachers, principles, governments to have extra money?

Linking this back to today’s lecture. If content creators didn’t gain something from their content, would they still be producing it? They wouldn’t create more because they would see it as a “moo point”

I feel like this has been a negative blog post, so I want to end it on a positive note.
Do the things you love to do, because you can and you enjoy doing it.

Hey hey dude!
This was a really simple but effective post. I’ve found that often the best blogposts are the one that draw from an individuals personal experiences to a degree, and this one certainly did that.
Your description of how the HSC was framed is microcosmic of a much wider phenomenon. The one that comes to mind is the “millennials killing businesses” narrative oh which the media is fond. In reality there’s a much more complex set of systems at play, but the framing of the narrative makes it feel unanimously understood. Wild stuff lmao.
Anyway here’s a classic example of the HSC being pointless (as if we needed more proof)

Hey there! I really enjoyed your blog post this week. It was a simple reflection on why content creators make their content and I could see the parallels that you really enjoy the content you create and that is your gain. I haven’t seen anyone else take the approach of effects of creation on mental health so I think its really cool that you brought that aspect in. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Ruby!
I found this blog post very simple yet effective!! I honestly prefer posts that don’t have too many words… I’m not very smart hahahaha. I now really understand why content creators do what they do and it does get me thinking wether or not they would still be making content if they weren’t gaining an advantage. The example of the HSC… although I hate thinking about the HSC… your example was really great and made heaps of sense!! The thought of teachers and schools using HSC to get more money honestly makes me a lil mad hahaha keep up the great work Ruby!!
